Pick-Up and Returns

When making your booking, please make sure you select the time you will pick-up and the time you will return the gear. Accurate times help us prepare your order and ensure a smooth handover for all customers. If you are more than half an hour late for your pick-up, without contacting us to arrange an alternative time,  you may forfeit your hire.

Identification Requirements

When you arrive to collect your gear, we will need to verify your identification before releasing any equipment.

Please bring the following physical documents so we can make copies:

  • NZ Driver Licence or New Zealand Passport.

  • Foreign Passport with Permanent Resident Visa / Proof of NZ Citizenship.

We can only rent equipment to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
If you are working in NZ from an overseas production company, please email us before booking.

You must also provide Proof of Address, such as:

  • Utility bill

  • Bank statement

  • Official document showing your name and address

Suburbia reserves the right to decline any rental if the required documentation cannot be provided.

FAQ

  • All pricing listed exclude GST. The minimum hire period is one day. Please get in touch with us if you require a custom order quote.

    Multi-day equipment hires include a 20% discount.

    All hires must be paid in full prior to pick-up.

  • Standard equipment collection is between 8am and 6pm. When making your booking, please make sure you select the time you will pick-up and the time you will return the gear. Please contact us first before booking pick-up or drop-off outside of these times to ensure staff availability.

    Please note that all hires are final. We are happy to offer advice for equipment selection, but it is at the discretion of the hirer to select the right equipment for the job, and know how to use it to achieve the desired outcome. No refunds are given for incorrect equipment selection.

  • Yes. If you cannot make your booking, please let us know asap to reschedule. – We can provide a full refund for cancelations 7 days prior to a booking date.

    A 25% fee will apply to cancelations within 7 days if no postponement date is arranged.

    We do not provide refunds for cancelations within 24 hours of a booking.

  • All equipment rentals can be used anywhere in NZ within your rental period.

  • We can help you specify the equipment you’ll need for any photography or videography projects. The best thing to do is bring as much information as possible and visual references if you have them.

  • Our friendly and knowledgeable team can help you select the right gear for your shoot and help to source any equipment you may need. For assistance or further info please get in touch by emailing us at hello@suburbia.nz

  • – You must hold public liability and/or hired goods insurance.
    – You will be held liable for any damages done while in studio or off-site with our equipment including loss, theft, and damages.
    – By hiring from SUBURBIA, you accept full liability for any and all equipment whilst in your care.
    – The full replacement cost will be invoiced for any equipment lost, stolen or damaged.
